In education today, managing classroom behavior effectively has become a daunting task. As technology advances, keeping our students engaged and motivated to learn continues to grow in difficulty. Positive Rewards Systems are a proven way to make learning engaging and comprehendible while also aiding in behavior management. However, implementing these systems school-wide often is a challenging task as they require a lot of planning, preparation, and buy-in from both students and staff. During the 2023-2024 school year, I took on this challenge and led the initiative in implementing a positive rewards house-system at my campus. I now want to share the specific steps I took to make this happen in the hopes to ease the process for future campuses that want to do this as well! By implementing proven strategies, we can cultivate a space where both academic excellence and personal growth thrive.
To see the specific steps I took to implement my school's positive rewards system, please click my linked presentation HERE and review the following slideshow I recently used to teach a professional development on this!
NOTE: On the second to last slide of the linked presentation, you will see two QR codes. One is how to contact me with follow-up questions or additional support, and the other is a ready-to-present slideshow that you could use to propose implementing a positive rewards system at your own campus (both are labeled respectively).
